The Steribite kerrison was designed to eliminate many of the design issues of standard reusable kerrisons.  There are no screws that can fall out, and the spring is recessed to avoid snagging gloves during use.  The Steribite kerrsion also features a thin footplate and an ergonomic comfortable handle design, with color coding for the various tip sizes.  They are packaged sterile and designed to be used one time and then discarded.  No risk of infections or bioburden and sharp for every case.

The STERISHARP stainless-steel shafts are made with the same grade steel used by German manufacturers and heat treated to the same hardness, which provides a sharp, clean bite.  The handles are hard aluminum.  SteriSharp rongeurs are designed to be used until they become dull (est. 10 uses) and then should be discarded or recycled.  They are not designed to be taken apart and resharpened.  They are a cost-effective alternative to expensive German kerrisons.
